New Animal Painting

It's been more than a month since last time I updated. It was a tough month Feb for me including unexpectedly long stay in Japan and now already March.

Anyway, I started a new cow painting. This time I painted with black acrylic paint on the side and all ends of painting surface. I might not paint over to the very edges but I might change my mind. Will see.

I decided putting value contrast in this early stage to get a sense of the cow shape. Just like figure paintings, I can get shapes correct relatively easily in this way. The size is 14x16.
